Award-winning article defining follow-up intervals in orthopaedic research just published in BJOpen

As authors, reviewers and journal editors, we always find a wide degree of heterogeneity regarding the definition of follow-up intervals. What can be considered short-term? What mid-term? What long-term?

Together with my co-authors, I performed a systematic review in order to identify clinical studies published in high impact journals during the last 5 years. Based on extracted data, corresponding definitions were made. This article shall aid authors, reviewers and editors in the future by providing a citable reference.
